Although in communion with the Roman Pontiff, the Eastern Catholic Churches are unique with their own blend of icons, incense, holy oil and Eastern liturgical chant.
Presenter James Comninellis, who serves the Archdiocese of St. Louis as the Outreach and Resources Coordinator for the Office of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs, has been a member and a cantor of the St. Louis Byzantine Catholic Mission since 2014.
The Catholic tradition is rich with a diversity of rites, and our presenter will touch on that diversity in general and specifically highlight the practice of Ruthenian Catholicism, a Slavonic-Byzantine tradition which is active in St. Louis.
