In the early days of Christianity there were many documents in use by various Christian communities that were considered scripture. It would take several centuries for the four Gospels we now use to be considered canonical.

In this three-week series we will explore three gospels that came to be excluded from the Bible – the Gospels of Thomas, Mary Magdalen and Judas. We will look at both the similarities to and differences from the canonical Gospels, and the reasons why they are not included in the canon of Scripture.
