JOB OPENING
The Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate USA, a division of Oblate Service Corporation, is seeking applicants for DIGITAL MARKETING ASSISTANT in the Fundraising Department. The MAMIUSA is a nonprofit mission development and fundraising office, located in Belleville, Illinois and San Antonio, TX.
POSITION: DIGITAL MARKETING ASSISTANT
POSITION STATUS: Full-time; Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Belleville, IL or San Antonio, TX
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Provide support for the digital marketing team by tracking the campaigns, reviewing deliverables, performing social media tasks, and monitoring ad spending and results to ensure continuous improvement.
- Track the digital marketing schedule to ensure copy and graphic assets are ready when needed.
- Repurpose copy from print campaigns for email campaigns, social media, and website landing pages.
- Coordinate campaign codes to ensure they are active.
- Suggest website links for landing pages, keeping in mind what has been used before, and pass to the Website Coordinator.
- Review deliverables to ensure adherence to standards and test all links.
- Send internal test messages to the team for further review.
- Write Google ads.
- Utilize knowledge of SEO and Google AdWords.
- Upload and schedule social media posts.
- Monitor media ad spending to ensure it is in line with budget.
- Evaluate campaign analytics for email campaigns, social media ads, and website; and deploy knowledge for continuous improvement.
- Assist and participate in live streaming of Masses and special events.
- Process Grotto paver’s requests and maintains file of paver locations on Grotto grounds (if in the San Antonio area).
- Assist with interviews Oblate priests and brothers for preparation of stories for use in appeals, emails, social media, blogs, etc., when needed.
WORK HOURS: Full-time, M-F and weekends as required. Candidate is required to be in the office full-time for the first one year of employment.
EDUCATION/SKILLS:
- Associate degree in Marketing, Business or related field, Bachelor is preferred.
- Proofreading and direct marketing experience preferred.
- Experience with all social media apps preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, required.
- Demonstrated experience with social media platforms (Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram)
- Bilingual English and Spanish skills, (reading, speaking), preferred.
- Ability to effectively coordinate work processes across multiple departments, required.
- Strong organizational skills, required.
- Proactive, self-motivated, hands on, and results oriented, required.
- Demonstrate sharp attention to details in work, required.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and listening skills, required.
- Ability to meet deadlines, required.
- Ability to work as a team player, required.
- Ability to work with a wide range of people, required.
- Knowledge of the Roman Catholic Church and philosophy, required
