JOB OPENING
The USP Director of Finance oversees all Finance Financial operations at the US Province level, in collaboration with the Treasurer and Finance Team. Prepares and directs the preparation of financial statements, audits, budgets, forecasts and other financial data. Helps with oversight of Investments, cashflow and special projects. This position works in concert with each US Province entity as it relates to financial areas. Responsible for the building, development and maintaining of a Finance team to meet the needs of the overall Oblate organization.

Position Status: Exempt/Full-Time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports the Treasurer of the US Province with the financial efforts of USP and all the related entities
- Collaborates and builds consensus among the financial locations for current and future written procedures and policies for all aspects of the financial accounting departments regarding improving and maintaining good internal controls
- Vision, organize and oversee rollup of other entities into the USP, Inc.
- Oversee getting all necessary assets within the framework of the Financial Statements for USP, Inc. to relieve our qualified opinion from the auditors
- Help improve financial data on a quarterly basis by instituting monthly best practices
- Help improve year end audit activity by implementation of monthly, consistent accounting across all
entities - Monitor developments in the Non-Profit arena and implement necessary accounting changes
- Devise a plan for non-traditional assets, mineral rights and off-balance sheet assets
- This position would also facilitate collaboration with Human Resources to standardize employee wages securing a more just and equitable landscape across all OSC employees
- Oversee payroll processing and in collaboration with Human Resources help develop a pipeline of talent for payroll processing and administration
- Manage designated gifts and develop a process by which to identify and manage the distribution
- Attend meetings that are pertinent to the financial welfare of the US Province
- Oversee all audits and investments
- Manage cashflow in collaboration with the Treasurer
Work Hours: Monday through Friday 40 hour work week
Qualification Requirements
- Must have knowledge and understanding of non-profit fundraising operations.
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in a clear productive and professional manner.
- Ability to work effectively and collaborate with other team members, directors, Oblates and vendors.
- Ability to facilitate creation and implementation of multiple strategies to coordinate common fundraising efforts and approaches.
- Ability to analyze, clearly communicate and clearly interpret financial data.
- Skills in creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, negotiating, decision-making and interpersonal relations, required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office application tools, required.
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests and maintain confidentiality with work related matters.
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA required; with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Must be familiar with common accounting principles and accounting software.
