Mark 7:20-23 (NABRE) Jesus went on to say, “What comes out of a person, that is what defiles. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, unchastity, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, licentiousness, envy, blasphemy, arrogance, folly. All these evils come from within, and they defile.”
Prayer:
Loving Lord, I seek Your wisdom to understand that true purity comes from within. Help me to guard my heart against evil thoughts and actions. Cleanse me from anything that defiles and fill me with Your love and strength. May my life reflect Your holiness in all I think, say and do. Amen.
