The Gospel of John differs greatly from the Synoptic Gospels – Mark, Matthew and Luke – in many ways. The Gospel of John was written at a time and place that make it unique among the canonical Gospels.

Jesus is depicted as the pre-existing Word, the Divine Messenger of God, sent to bring light and truth to the world. The chronology of events of Jesus’ life and ministry are not the same as in the Synoptics. Even the Passion story is told in such a way that Jesus is in charge of his own death.

Join us as we examine the Gospel of John, the “Spiritual Gospel.”
