MindsEye is a closed circuit broadcast exclusively for blind and print-impaired in the greater St. Louis area. More than 200 volunteers assist in bringing programs to approximately 14,000 residents in homes, hospitals, nursing homes and retirement centers.
Special radio receivers are loaned free of charge to qualified recipients within a 75-mile radius of MindsEye or can listen to the service on the web at www.mindseyeradio.org. Established in 1973 by Fr. Boniface Wittenbrink, O.M.I., this program is non-profit, non-commercial and non-sectarian. It was the first radio reading service in Illinois and one of the first in the United States.
