Vocations

St. Eugene de Mazenod, the founder of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, gave a compelling sermon in Lent 1813:

“Come and learn who you are in the eyes of God. Lift up your minds: you are the children of God! There is an immortal soul within you made to the image of God, a soul redeemed at the price of the very blood of Jesus, more precious in the eyes of God than all the riches of this earth. Know your dignity…Children of God, Children of the Most High!”

In this year of vocations, we would like to invite young men who are interested in learning more about how to know God’s plan for their lives to participate in a series called:  Journeying with the Lord:  The Discernment Process.

The group will explore different areas of discernment such as prayer, spiritual direction, vows, religious life, priesthood and other topics that the group would like to share.

Discernment Group –meets on the 2nd Monday of the month at the Shrine Hotel (upstairs conference room) at 7 p.m.   Come and find out how God if God could be calling you to the priesthood and/or religious life.  Pizza and beverages are provided.  For more information, please contact Fr.
